This is a powerful painting.  It connects today with the days of the past.  Johannes Vermeer was one gifted man.  The way he would capture a woman standing in the indirect sunshine and make the shape and form live, right there on the canvas.  That was the stillness I was going for.  If you like it, if this piece connects with you, just say the word.   You can have one of your own!  Did you notice the little dent in the linen tablecloth?  Did you find it?
